Friday Poetry Club at Magpie Books

For the first meeting on Friday 8th July we will be reading from the Candlestick Press anthology, Clouds. If you have a favourite poem about clouds that isn’t in the book, then do bring it along. Also, if you feel like writing a poem about clouds of your own, bring that too!

Come and buy the anthology ahead of time if you like to do your homework, but equally, come along and hear the poems and decide then if you want to buy the anthology on the night. All our Candlestick anthologies cost £5.95 , they make lovely gifts, they come with an envelope and a bookmark card and can be posted for a standard stamp.

In August we will be reading poems about music, but please do bring along your own suggestions for later meetings.
